A MatchTrader to MatchTrader trade copier lets you trade one MatchTrader account in the browser and have the same trades placed on your other MatchTrader accounts, for example challenges at several prop firms that run Match-Trade Technologies' platform under their own brand. Heron Copier repeats every open, modification and close from the master on each slave.
Speed is where MatchTrader differs from the other web platforms. Its API accepts 500 requests per minute, while TradeLocker and DXtrade allow about one per second. With MatchTrader on both sides, a burst of trades or a quick series of stop loss changes is passed on without the API limit getting in the way, which makes this the best fit of the three same-platform pairs for faster intraday trading. Positions are tracked one by one on both sides, so each master position becomes exactly one position on each slave, and opposite trades on the same symbol stay apart.
It runs in the Heron Copier cloud with no VPS and nothing to install, or locally on your own VPS. Every paid license includes both.
How to set up MatchTrader to MatchTrader copying
- Add your MatchTrader account as the master in the dashboard. Connect it with your MatchTrader login, password and broker.
- Add your MatchTrader account as the slave and pick the master it copies from. Connect it with your MatchTrader login, password and broker.
- Choose one of the six volume sizing methods for the slave and, if the brokers name symbols differently, add a symbol suffix or aliases.
- Launch. Cloud accounts are usually online in under 60 seconds, and the dashboard shows every copied trade, balance and position live.

Things to check before you start
- Each slave has its own volume sizing, so accounts of different sizes can copy the same trades. The default, Equity-to-Equity, keeps the risk of every slave in proportion to the master.
- Two MatchTrader brokers can still name symbols differently. Set a suffix or aliases on the slave if the names don't match.
- Partial closes on a MatchTrader master are not passed on to the slaves yet. Full closes are copied, so a trade you scale out of stays at full size on the slaves until you close the rest.
- Partial closes on the master are not copied to MatchTrader slaves, because of a limit in the MatchTrader API. Full closes are copied as usual.
- If your prop firm blocks API access, the local MatchTrader slave app has a non-API mode that works through Google Chrome. It supports only the Lot Multiplier and Fixed Lot sizing methods.
- MatchTrader prop firms often use their own symbol names. Check the symbol list of the slave and add symbol aliases where the names differ.
Frequently asked questions
Can one MatchTrader master copy to several MatchTrader accounts?
Yes. Add as many MatchTrader slaves as you need, each with its own volume sizing, symbol mapping and risk limits. In the cloud every account uses one cloud seat, and the local version has no account limit.
Can the MatchTrader accounts be at different brokers or prop firms?
Yes. That is the most common setup. Symbol suffixes and aliases handle different symbol names, and each slave has its own volume sizing.
What happens if a trade fails to copy?
Turn on failed trade copy notifications to get an e-mail alert. The account logs in the dashboard also show the reason, for example a symbol that doesn't exist on the slave or a size below the minimum.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 7 days with 2 cloud accounts. During the trial a slave copies every trade at a fixed 0.01 lot; a paid license unlocks the other sizing methods.
