A Telegram to MT5 copier turns the signals posted in a Telegram channel into trades on your MT5 account. Heron Copier reads each new message, picks out the symbol, direction, entry, stop loss and take profit, and opens the trade straight away, so you don't have to watch the channel and type orders by hand.
Telegram is only a signal source. A signal carries no lot size, so your MT5 slave opens every signal with the fixed lot size you set for it. Turn on "Block trade without SL" if you only want signals that include one. Symbol names need a check too. A channel writes XAUUSD or EURUSD, while your MT5 broker may use a suffix such as .raw, which a suffix or aliases on the slave fix. If your MT5 account is netting, several signals on the same symbol merge into one position, so a hedging account keeps them apart.
Telegram signals are read in the Heron Copier cloud only, so there is nothing to install and no VPS to keep running.
How to set up Telegram to MT5 copying
- Add your Telegram channel as the master in the dashboard. Connect it with your Telegram credentials and the channel you want to follow.
- Add your MT5 account as the slave and pick the master it copies from. Connect it with your MT5 account number, password and broker server.
- Set the fixed lot size for the slave. Telegram signals carry no lot size, so every signal is opened with the size you choose, within your lot caps.
- Launch. Cloud accounts are usually online in under 60 seconds, and the dashboard shows every copied trade, balance and position live.
About Telegram and MT5
Many signal providers post their trades in Telegram channels. Heron Copier reads those messages as they arrive and turns them into orders, so you don't have to copy them by hand.
MetaTrader 5 is MetaQuotes' successor to MT4, released in 2010. It adds more timeframes, a depth of market view and exchange-traded instruments, and runs Expert Advisors written in MQL5.
For everything else about each platform, see the Telegram Signal Copier and MT5 Trade Copier pages.

Things to check before you start
- Slaves of a Telegram channel use the Fixed Lot sizing method: every signal opens with the same size. Turn on "Block trade without SL" if you only want to copy signals that include a stop loss.
- A channel can post updates such as "move SL to entry" in free text. Check how your channel writes them and test on a demo account first.
- Turn on Position Resync if you want the MT5 slave to check that every copied position is still open on the master.
- Common formats such as "BUY EURUSD @ 1.0850 SL: 1.0800 TP: 1.0900" and "EURUSD BUY 1.0850" are recognised. If your channel uses an unusual format, send support one or two sample messages.
Frequently asked questions
Can one Telegram master copy to several MT5 accounts?
Yes. Add as many MT5 slaves as you need, each with its own volume sizing, symbol mapping and risk limits. In the cloud every account uses one cloud seat.
Which signal formats does the Telegram copier understand?
Common formats such as "BUY EURUSD @ 1.0850 SL: 1.0800 TP: 1.0900" and "EURUSD BUY 1.0850", plus many variations. If your channel uses an unusual format, send support one or two sample messages.
What happens if a trade fails to copy?
Turn on failed trade copy notifications to get an e-mail alert. The account logs in the dashboard also show the reason, for example a symbol that doesn't exist on the slave or a size below the minimum.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 7 days with 2 cloud accounts. During the trial a slave copies every trade at a fixed 0.01 lot; a paid license unlocks the other sizing methods.
