Telegram Signal Copier

Turn the signals posted in a Telegram channel into trades on your own accounts, without a VPS.

Heron Copier reads a Telegram signal channel and places each signal as a trade. It picks out the symbol, direction, entry, stop loss and take profit from the message and opens the trade on every account that follows the channel, on MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker, MatchTrader, DXtrade, Tradovate, Rithmic or TopstepX.

Some people call it a Telegram trade copier; it is the same idea. The channel takes the place of a master account, and your trading accounts are the slaves. It runs in the Heron Copier cloud only, so the channel is watched around the clock with no VPS and no app open on your computer.

How a Telegram signal becomes a trade

In the dashboard, add a Telegram master and connect it with your Telegram credentials and the channel you want to follow. Then add one or more trading accounts as slaves of that master.

When the channel posts a new message, Heron Copier reads it in real time. If it is a signal, it is parsed and sent to your slaves just like a trade from any other master. Each slave then applies its own lot size, symbol mapping and risk settings before it opens the trade.

Signal formats

Channels write signals in many ways. Common formats such as "BUY EURUSD @ 1.0850 SL: 1.0800 TP: 1.0900" and the shorter "EURUSD BUY 1.0850" are recognised, along with many variations. If your channel uses an unusual format, send support one or two sample messages.

Channels also post updates in free text, such as "move SL to entry". Check how your channel writes them, and run it on a demo account for a while before you connect a live one.

Symbols arrive as written in the signal, for example XAUUSD. If your broker names it differently, add a symbol suffix or an alias on the slave, for example XAUUSD=GOLD. When neither is set, Heron Copier tries auto symbol mapping.

You set the lot size on each slave

A Telegram signal carries no lot size, so a slave that follows a channel always uses Fixed Lot sizing. You set the lot size once for each slave, and it opens every signal with that size. Global and per-symbol lot size caps and symbol aliases still apply.

Because the size does not change with the stop loss, the distance to the stop decides how much each signal risks. Choose a lot size that fits the widest stops your channel posts. If you only want signals that come with a stop loss, turn on "Block trade without SL" on the slave.

One channel, many accounts and platforms

Every trading platform Heron Copier supports can follow a Telegram channel: Telegram to MT5, Telegram to MT4, Telegram to cTrader, Telegram to TradeLocker, Telegram to MatchTrader and Telegram to DXtrade.

Each slave has its own settings, so one channel can drive a demo account at one lot size and a funded account at a smaller one at the same time. To follow more than one channel, add each channel as its own master.

Telegram signals on futures accounts

Futures accounts can follow a channel too: see Telegram to Tradovate, Telegram to Rithmic and Telegram to TopstepX. Most channels post forex, gold and index CFD symbols, so map each one to a contract with an alias such as NAS100=MNQ.

Futures are traded in whole contracts, so set the slave's fixed size in contracts that suit the account. Test the copied size on a demo account first.

Keep a channel inside your rules

A channel trades on its own schedule, not yours. These slave settings keep it in check:

  • A symbol whitelist, such as +XAUUSD;, to copy only the channel's gold signals. Filters use the symbol as written in the signal.
  • Block trades without a stop loss or without a take profit.
  • Balance or equity thresholds that close positions and stop copying before a drawdown limit is hit.
  • Reverse copying, if you want to trade against a channel.
  • A one-click close-all and stop from the dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

Can I copy my own trades to a Telegram channel?

No. Telegram is a signal source only. Heron Copier copies from a Telegram channel to your trading accounts, never from an account to Telegram.

Which signal formats does it understand?

Common formats such as "BUY EURUSD @ 1.0850 SL: 1.0800 TP: 1.0900" and "EURUSD BUY 1.0850", plus many variations. If your channel's signals are not picked up, send support one or two sample messages.

How is the lot size decided when the signal has none?

You set it. A slave that follows a Telegram channel uses Fixed Lot sizing and opens every signal with the lot size you choose for that slave. Lot size caps still apply.

Do I need a VPS or the Telegram app open?

No. The Telegram signal copier runs in the Heron Copier cloud only, so it keeps reading the channel while your computer is off. There is no local version for Telegram.

How many cloud accounts do I need?

One for each channel and one for each slave. The monthly license is $19 and includes 2 cloud accounts, enough for one channel and one trading account; extra cloud accounts are $8 a month each. There is a 7-day free trial with 2 cloud accounts; during the trial, forex slaves copy at 0.01 lot and futures slaves at 1 contract.
