Heron Copier copies every trade from a MetaTrader 5 master account to as many slave accounts as you need: other MT5 accounts, MT4, cTrader, TradeLocker, MatchTrader, DXtrade, and even futures accounts on Tradovate, Rithmic and TopstepX. Opens, stop loss and take profit changes, partial closes and closes are all repeated on each slave.
You can run it in the Heron Copier cloud, where your MT5 accounts are online in under a minute without a VPS or an Expert Advisor to install, or run the local version on your own VPS. Every paid license includes both.
Copy MT5 trades in the cloud, without a VPS
Most MT5 trade copiers are Expert Advisors: you rent a VPS, keep a terminal open for every account and hope it stays connected. The Heron Copier cloud runs each MT5 account in its own isolated environment on our servers instead. You enter the account number, password and broker server in the dashboard, click Launch, and the account is copying in under 60 seconds.
Because nothing runs on your computer, copying continues when it is off, and updates are applied for you.
MT5 to MT5, MT4, cTrader and more
The most common setup is MT5 to MT5: one account you trade, copied to prop firm challenges or funded accounts at other brokers. But an MT5 master can feed any platform Heron Copier supports, and any of them can feed an MT5 slave. Popular routes include MT4 to MT5, MT5 to cTrader and MT5 to TradeLocker.
When the two brokers name symbols differently, for example EURUSD and EURUSD.raw, set a suffix or explicit aliases on the slave, with a lot multiplier per symbol where contract sizes differ. If a symbol still isn't found, auto symbol mapping tries to match it as a last resort.
Built for prop firm accounts
Each slave has its own settings, so a $10,000 challenge and a $200,000 funded account can copy the same master safely.
- Six volume sizing methods: Equity-to-Equity (the default), Lot Multiplier, Risk Multiplier, Fixed Lot, Fixed Risk by percentage and Fixed Risk by amount.
- Global and per-symbol lot size caps.
- Balance or equity thresholds that stop copying before a drawdown limit is hit.
- Choose whether to copy TP and SL, block trades without them, or offset them in pips.
- Magic number filters, so only some of your EAs are copied.
- Reverse copying, and a one-click close-all and stop.
Hedging and netting MT5 accounts
MT5 brokers set each account to hedging or netting. On a hedging account every trade is its own position, so the slave mirrors the master trade for trade. On a netting account trades on the same symbol merge into one position. If your master opens opposite trades on the same symbol, use hedging accounts for the slaves.
Host your MT5 Expert Advisor in the cloud
Heron Copier can also run your own EA. Upload the compiled .ex5 file and its .set preset, pick up to 10 charts, and it trades 24/7 on a cloud MT5 account. If you also want the EA's trades copied to other accounts, add the same account as a master. See Host your EA or cBot in the docs.
Prefer your own VPS? Use the local MT5 copier
The local version runs on your own Windows VPS or PC through the Heron Copier Connector app, with no limit on the number of master and slave accounts. Trades are sent from your own IP address, which some prop firms require. You can even copy between MT5 terminals on different VPSs. The docs cover the installation step by step.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install an EA on my MT5 terminal?
Not for the cloud version. You only enter your account details in the dashboard. The local version installs its own copier EA for you from the Connector app.
Can I copy one MT5 account to several prop firm accounts?
Yes. Add each prop firm account as a slave of the same master. Each one gets its own sizing, lot caps and drawdown thresholds.
Does the MT5 copier work with every broker?
It works with any MT5 account you can log in to with an account number, password and server. Some prop firms restrict copy trading or third-party connections, so check their rules first.
Can I copy MT5 trades to futures?
Yes. An MT5 master can copy to Tradovate, Rithmic or TopstepX slaves. Lots are converted to whole contracts, and symbol aliases such as NAS100=MNQ map CFDs to futures. See MT5 to Tradovate.
How much does it cost?
The monthly license is $19 and includes 2 cloud accounts; extra cloud accounts are $8 a month each. The yearly license is $179. Both include the local version with unlimited accounts, and there is a 7-day free trial.
