Heron Copier connects to Rithmic logins directly. A Rithmic account can be a master, with its trades copied to other Rithmic accounts, Tradovate, TopstepX or CFD accounts, or a slave that follows any of them.
It works with prop firm logins such as Apex and Bulenox and with brokerage logins on Rithmic 01. Rithmic accounts run in the Heron Copier cloud only, so there is no VPS to rent and nothing to install next to your trading platform.
Connect with your Rithmic login
In the dashboard, add a Rithmic cloud account and enter your Rithmic username and password. Choose the Rithmic system your login belongs to, for example Apex, Bulenox or Rithmic 01, and click Connect. Heron Copier lists the accounts under that login, and you pick the one to copy to or from.
Your password is stored encrypted and used only to log in to Rithmic for your copiers.
One connection per login, R|Trader Pro stays open
Heron Copier keeps one connection per Rithmic login, however many of its accounts you add, so ten evaluations under one login still use a single connection.
It also does not use Rithmic market data. That means you can keep R|Trader Pro open and trade from it while your accounts are copying. On a master, trades you place in R|Trader Pro, or in any other platform that trades the account through Rithmic, are picked up and copied.
Copy one Apex or Bulenox account to many
A common setup is Rithmic to Rithmic: you trade one evaluation and the rest follow. Each slave has its own settings, so a 50K and a 150K account can copy the same master at different sizes.
- Six volume sizing methods, from Equity-to-Equity to Fixed Lot in whole contracts.
- Per-symbol lot caps, so a slave never holds more than its plan allows.
- Balance or equity thresholds that stop copying before a drawdown limit is reached.
- Symbol blacklists, for example to keep a slave out of one market.
- Block trades that have no stop loss on the master.
- Position Resync, which closes copied positions that are no longer open on the master after a reconnect.
Rithmic to Tradovate, TopstepX and back
Futures can be copied across platforms, not only within Rithmic. Routes such as Rithmic to Tradovate and Rithmic to TopstepX are tested in production. It works the other way too: Tradovate to Rithmic and TopstepX to Rithmic.
When both sides trade the same contract, no mapping is needed. If you want a slave to trade the micro instead of the full contract, add an alias with a multiplier. ES=MES|10 turns one ES into ten MES, and the alias also matches dated contracts such as ESZ6.
Rithmic and CFD accounts
A Rithmic slave can follow a forex or CFD master. Map the CFD to a futures product with an alias such as NAS100=MNQ, as in MT5 to Rithmic. A Rithmic master can also feed a CFD account, for example Rithmic to MT5.
CFD and futures contract sizes differ a lot. Check the copied size on a demo account before going live.
How contract sizes are worked out
Rithmic slaves trade whole contracts. Heron Copier calculates the size with the slave's volume sizing method, then rounds it to the nearest contract. The Fixed Risk methods round down instead, so they never risk more than you set. A trade that works out to less than half a contract is skipped.
Auto symbol mapping, additional TP/SL in pips and TP/SL offsets are not available on Rithmic slaves. Symbol aliases, lot caps and blacklists are.

Frequently asked questions
Which Rithmic systems can I connect?
Any login you can use with a Rithmic system name, including prop firm systems such as Apex and Bulenox and brokerage logins on Rithmic 01. Pick the system when you add the account.
Will connecting log me out of R|Trader Pro?
No. Heron Copier does not use Rithmic market data and keeps one connection per login, so R|Trader Pro can stay open while your accounts copy.
I trade my Rithmic account in NinjaTrader. Does that work?
Yes. Connect the account here with its Rithmic username, password and system. Trades placed through any platform that trades the account through Rithmic are copied from a master. See the NinjaTrader trade copier page for more.
Is Rithmic available in the local version?
No. Rithmic accounts run in the cloud version only. Every paid license includes cloud accounts, starting with 2 on the $19 monthly plan.
Can I test Rithmic copying with the free trial?
Yes. The 7-day trial includes 2 cloud accounts. During the trial a Rithmic slave copies every trade at a fixed 1 contract; a paid license unlocks the other sizing methods.
